Mr. Mike Conway Ph.D. / Senior Research Scientist, Arizona Geological Survey

Tracking and Reporting Geologic Hazards Encountered in Arizona – Geologic hazards, such as earth fissures, earthquakes, active faults, landslides, debris flows, and volcanism are a fact of life in Arizona. The Arizona Geological Survey is charged by state statute to monitor and report on hazards. In this presentation, we’ll provide an overview of survey efforts to inform decision-makers and the public to the nature, distribution and impact of geologic hazards.
